When it goes sale in the UK in January 2010, Chevrolet will pitch its Spark supermini at well below the £7000 mark to undercut its Hyundai i20, Suzuki Swift and Ford Ka rivals. The Matiz replacement will make its global debut at the Geneva motor show in March, and these are the first images of the car’s rear and cabin. Correct.
Chevrolet will show this new baby SUV called the Trax at the 2012 Paris motor show, before UK sales start in spring 2013. If that name sounds familiar, it's because Chevrolet showed a concept car called Trax at the New York auto show in 2007. That's the show car depicted in our second image (only one pic of the actual 2012 Trax has been released today).
Don’t think for a minute that we’re going to lose the supercar stunts we know and love, and see them replaced by the charms of a Kia Cee’d economy run, but Top Gear, in common with the rest of the Beeb, is having its budget cut – apparently. Andy Wilman, who is the brains behind TG (and its producer) together with Jeremy Clarkson, has been bemoaning the budget cuts planned for the show on the TG website. He said:
